Fixes in 3.0 stable channel
We are doing a lot of work to get solve most of the crashes reported. Nevertheless, most of them are related to graphics drivers, so please don't forget to be up to date on this part of the computer. Also, if you create big panoramas or using big images, you should definitively switch to 64bits of our products, it is free and solves some memory issues.
Some Windows users have crashes when using system file browser. These crashes can happen when you just try to open a folder to select some images. If you do have crashes in these part, you are having some issues with either network drives, shortcut on this folder, other software acceeding to the folder like antivirus, etc. To prevent these crashes, we added a new option in general settings to tell autopano not to use the native file browser, but using our own file browser that doesn't suffer from these issues. It should prevent any crash coming from strange cohabitation with external software accessing folder.
New raw support
Last RAW formats have been integrated like the Nikon D600, the Canon 6D, etc.

Fixes in 3.0 stable channel
Since the stable release, we getting some new reports about some issue found in some cases. We continue to stabilize everything in these rare cases and we are pretty confident about having now a really stable version. Among the fixes, some of them needs some explaination:
- It seems that the way we balanced the memory reserved between rendering and input image caching was not optimal in some configuration. We added more memory reserved for pictures displaying and reduced a little for rendering.
- Local optimization was broken since early in beta stable. It didn't create any problem as general optimization was still working, but we get it back. You should see nice speed up in optimization stage.
- This version has also some updated translation and one new translation: Polish.
Crash reporter
Most recurring reports have been fixed. Some crashes are not easy to prevent and depend on the computer:
- Try to update you graphics drivers. Many reports are still showing crashs in graphics drivers and not in autopano.
- Always use the 64bit version of autopano ( when the OS allow it ) for using big pictures or for rendering large panoramas.
The troubleshooting page for autopano support has been updated with all the solutions found. Have a look there it you have still recurring crashes with the software : http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Autopano_Solutions
We will continue to work on this stable channel. Nevertheless, the work on next engine has already been started. Autopano Engine v3.1 is all about color correction engine improvement.

With the release of a new stable software, there is always a lot of bug reported in early time as many people are now trying the software on several computer / platform. So, it is normal that we got report, but as the beta / RC stage was nicely done, there are no critical bug, only some crash that can only be reproduced in some circomptances.
- The crash report system does work amazingly well and it helps us to reproduce and understand cases that we weren't able to reproduce here before. At the time of this release, most reported crash were fixed. Note: in the crash report system, we added an optional email field that you can fill or not ( it is your choise ). For us, it could be of some help, if we need to get back to you to understand the report or get some more details. Some cases are still in hold because, we miss some details of what happen just before crashing ( order of operations ). This new email field is for that.
- We had some other bug report through email or forum. Quite all have been done ( see the list below ).
- This version has also some updated translation and new translation: Chinese, Japanese, Norwegian, Russian.
We will continue to work on this stable channel. Nevertheless, the work on next engine has already been started. Autopano Engine v3.1 is all about color correction engine improvement.

Changelog
Version 3.0 integrates impressive new features that will definitely make you adopt Autopano Pro or Autopano Giga:
- Choose between 9 projection modes the one that best suits your image, including Little-Planet, Panini, Hammer, Mirror Ball, Orthographic and more.
- Edit your panoramas with an exceptional efficiency: the panorama editor is now real-time and pixel accurate. The ergonomics have been totally revamped, so that all tools take advantage of the real-time editor.
- Use the Preview mode to get an instant visualization of your final panorama, before even rendering it. You can keep this mode on when you use all the tools of the panorama editor.
- Manually remove the ghosts in the overlapping areas in an instant thanks to the Mask tool. Also very useful to remove the tripod, or get rid of anything in your panorama (Autopano Giga only).
Other great enhancements have also been made:
- An increased general speed in all parts of the application.
- The support of RAW files of the latest cameras on the market.
- The layer editor (in the panorama editor) has new features that ease the manipulation of images within the layers, including the selection of multiple images.
- Seitz Roundshot VR Drive II motorized head is now fully supported thanks to a dedicated module, besides the GigaPan, Papywizard and Clauss Rodeon modules (read the Seitz-Kolor partnership announcement) (Autopano Giga only).
- The import plugins for Bridge and Lightroom are now compatible with the latest CS6 version (Autopano Giga only).
- A better Linux support: Kolor is engaged in providing Linux-compatible versions of its software applications and believes all major photo applications should have a Linux version.

Main changes
This version is a minor stable update which adds support to the latest cameras available on the market ( Nikon D800, Canon 5D Mark 3, Canon S100, and some others RAW format ).
It also adds support for new version of external software that were not yet compatible with Autopano like Adobe Lightroom 4 or Adobe Bridge CS6.
Note: This is probably the last release for 2.X Autopano engine as we are working fully on 3.X Autopano engine (alpha version and feature list is already available on the website, have a try).

Stable release
After several release candidates that solves some minor issues, we are now back again in a stable state.
Improved Blending Engine: The blending engine has been improved in several way : blend over 360° edges, color uniformisation, support of HDR as input image. We considere this part as really stable and accurate.
Focal Integration in Papywizard: Focal length is a critical value for several algorithms in autopano. Or with papywizard plugin, we can have several sources for this value and sometimes, it seems all sources are not given the same focal value. So we introduced some check and editable focal length to correct such cases.
New GPU compatibility mode: With old graphics card, the way we should use texture can vary and could be different that with modern graphics card. So we introduced this mode that should be enabled only if you have trouble with the GPU mode.
Crash Analysis System: Of course, a crash should not happen! Nevetheless, if you have a crash on windows, now, we have a workflow to analyse it with a clever crash dump.
Fixes :
- 0001007: [Shell Integration] Browse image crash - resolved.
- 0001090: [Cortex ( rendu )] Crash when saving .hdr files - resolved.
- 0001093: [UI behavior] Windows 7, 64bits, system dialog box crash - resolved.
- 0001120: [Shell Integration] Browse crash - resolved.

Changelog
Autopano Pro / Giga 2.0.7 Changelog
- NEW - New memory manager for smartblend phase. It should prevent many crash but not all of them. Smartblend system is still handling the memory in a way that cannot guaranty everything will work fine. It relies partly on the OS memory manager; some big chunks of memory are allocated by us before smartblend (should let at least 900Mo of memory for the system); additionals one which may not create fragmentation are managed by system.
- Memory policy:
- <1Go of memory => allocate ~228Mo
- 2Go of memory => allocate ~512Mo
- 4Go of memory => allocate ~2Go
- 6Go of memory => allocate ~3.5Go
- 8Go of memory => allocate ~6Go
- >16Go of memory => allocate ~12Go
- If a crash happens it should be handled in a gentle way : a message box explains what happens, quit the rendering but not the application.
- This new memory manager should fix theses cases :

Changelog
Autopano Pro / Giga 2.0.2
- NEW : Update system.
- This system will warns you when a new release of the software is available. It will check online for a new version and notify you during the startup of the application if a new release is available. You can also check manually for a new version through the help / "check for updates" menu. The online check is done during application startup ( at most once per week only ) and of course no private information are sent to the webserver.
- FIXED : Rendering panorama with RAW file crash.
- We found a bug that was not easy to catch because it only happen with big configuration with a high number of core. It happens at rendering and lead to crash.
- FIXED : Extended save bug with fisheye panorama. Save and load issue.
- If you load some .pano and the preview didn't show anything, you probably have this issue. You need to detect again fisheye panoramas that were saved with extended save because some information were lost in the .pano ( the fisheye circular crop and offset in fact ). The workaround is to edit this image in the editor if you see black area : http://www.autopano.net/forum/t6248-app-2-does-not-load-saved-panorama
- FIXED : HDR workflow broken.
- Bug : you can get some grey zone in the previous or rendering : http://www.autopano.net/forum/t6348-hdr-doesn-t-seem-to-work-at-all-in-either-app-or-apg-2.0.1
- Note that you should not use color correction with 32bits image source ( .HDR or openEXR ). It could results in some color lost in bright area.
- NEW : Tonemapper in viewer
- When opening a 32bits file with the internal viewer or the control point editor, you have a new drop-down box to tonemap quickly the image so you can see something in that image.
- FIXED : GPU mode and transparency in input images.
- The GPU preview was not handling this case : http://www.autopano.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=45896#p45896
- FIXED : Windows 64 bits version.
- A compiler issue could cause the rendering phase to crash with this version
- FIXED : German translation fixed : http://www.autopano.net/forum/t6313-app-2.01-wrong-init
- FIXED : Mac Tiger Raw detection crash.
- When using raw, crash could occur with "Symbol not found: _mktime$UNIX2003" : http://www.autopano.net/forum/t6077-app-2.0.0-mac-10.4.11-crash-while-finding-source-pictures
- FIXED : Mac registration not sticky.
- With German language and under some circumstance, the registration code could not stickly between session : http://www.autopano.net/forum/t6284-mac-autopano-giga-2.0.1
- INFO : Mac Crash.
- Some mac crash can be explained because the system is not up to date. Some customers reported that the combo update can fix this serious crash that we were not able to reproduce here. Go here to download the combo upgrade : http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_7_Combo_Update
- Confirmed here : http://www.autopano.net/forum/t6270-apg-2.0-64bits-mac-imac-2,83-4-go-ca-plante

- UPDATE : Cameras.txt and lensid.txt
- Nikon D5000 and Canon 500D support added
- Several new lensID for canon were added too
Autopano Tour 1.0.2
- Caps in the inserted list of panorama in the viewer are now kept
